Built on regenerated land, which posed many problems, from land assembly to difficult ground conditions. We conducted extensive ground investigation to find an affordable foundation solution.
The requirement was to build to Sustainable Homes Code Level 3.
We conformed to the nine headline categories, energy, water, materials, surface water, waste, pollution, health and wellbeing, management and ecology.
OUR ROLE
Our development strategy was to work closely with our RSL partners to provide 24 apartments in a contemporary, cost effective modern property in an area where community change had taken place through the demise of indigenous industries creating a much -needed requirement for this type of affordable accommodation.
ACHIEVEMENTS
We acquired part of this site some ten years ago and after engaging with the local authority eventually assembled a viable site area and successfully completed 106 negotiations.
We achieved the required Code level three and completed 8 weeks ahead of programme. |
