Professor David Bellamy Launches Jessup’s Waterfront South development - September 07
David Bellamy one of the most recognisable faces and voices in conservation, ecology and environmental matters launched Jessup’s flagship development at Walsall’s Waterfront South at the New Art Gallery Walsall on 19th September. David delivered a lecture to over 100 invited guests about world ecology and the impact of the built environment on the natural world. He also commented on the excellent environmental credentials of Jessup’s canal side development to be built on a regenerated brown field site and the developer’s careful selection of ecologically conscious suppliers such as Wolverhampton based Chamois Eco Kitchens.
David was very impressed with many elements of the scheme and the fact that it would help create a new and vibrant area around Walsall’s famous Art Gallery and the opportunity to encourage the natural flora and fauna of the canal side location. David looked forward to seeing the development’s progress and commented that he would like to come back and row down the canal in the style of Walsall’s famous son Jerome K. Jerome (Three Men in a Boat), to inaugurate the scheme.
