2018 celebrates our 30th year of business and we will mark the occasion by completing 30 activities/events with donations to good causes

The chosen activities so far are:

  1. Donate 30kg of food to a local food bank
  2. Donate £30 per unit for each BMHT DPS scheme awarded to Jessup this year to a combination of Change Into Action charity and food banks local to the scheme
  3. Donate £30 per participant in the 2018 Three Peaks Challenge (climbing Mount Snowden in Wales, Scafell Pike in England, Ben Nevis in Scotland all in under 24 hours, including travel). This event takes place in July 2018
  4. Sponsor the Burton Rotary Club Sandwich Board Campaign
  5. Sponsored quiz in aid of the “Blood Bikes” charity
  6. Two staff members completed the London Marathon
  7. We sponsored Dudley Mayors Civic Awards (Environmental Award)
  8. We sponsored Stafford And Rural Homes Growing Grant (to promote community gardening projects)
  9. We provided waste materials to Urban Moorings CIC
  10. We provided brocks, blocks, timber and electrical materials to Southside Learning who support excluded youngsters
  11. We collected and donated over £100 to Alzheimers Society in June 2018 via cupcake sales and dress down day

Good causes

Jessup supports the communities local to our sites. We endeavour to engage with the local people and organisations to see where Jessup can positively contribute on projects to help improve our communities.

During 2018 we have chosen to support three main causes:

  • Homelessness
  • Food banks
  • Health and Wellbeing

Some recent examples of opportunities we’ve been involved with include:

  • cycling 550 miles across Spain to provide for Gym equipment for one of our schemes
  • supporting Girl Guiding, Ellesmere
  • donating to Penkside Community Champions funday
  • supporting local school projects
  • sponsoring staff and business partners in charity events.
  • donating stamps to a registered charity
  • contributions to children’s nursery
  • contribution to local churches
  • contributing to a birthing unit
  • cancer research
  • children’s hospital donations
