Meet the team leaders

Jessup Team

Clive Jessup, ACIOB, Chief Executive

Hi, I’m Clive, Chief Executive of Jessup Build Develop. I founded our company in 1988 after working for various building companies. From day one in the life of this company I have been committed to the cause of developing and building social housing to improve the living environment for communities in the Midland region.

As well as developing many successful housing schemes with our housing association partners we have also been involved with a business Park development near Wolverhampton, which over a ten year period has brought over 1200 new jobs to the area.

I am particularly enthused about our new preferred partner status with the Homes and Communities Agency, which will enable us to directly access public funding for community development.

Another venture, I am pursuing is to bring our knowledge of housing, sustainability, design and innovation to the private housing market.

Peter Butler, BSc (Hons) ACIOB, General Manager

Hi, I’m Peter, I have been at Jessup for over eight years now. I find my job hugely rewarding, we have improved year on year the quality of product we offer, the timescale it takes to build and the level of aftercare we give to our customers.

I have particularly enjoyed bringing a sense of adventure to the company engaging most of the employees in mountain climbing, cycle challenges, white water raft racing, trekking and the odd marathon.

I also look after our Investors in People and ISO quality managment systems to ensure the staff receive additional training in key areas such as the latest H&S, code for sustainable homes and modern methods of construction.

I also ensure our clients receive a first class quality service.

Jessup Team

Nigel Higgs, BSc MRICS, Chief Surveyor

Hi, I’m Nigel, I am the head of surveying. I look after the surveyors and buyers here at Jessup and have been with the company over twelve years. After a hard day at the office making schemes financially viable I unwind with a selection of wines which I enjoy buying, or perhaps the odd walk through rural Shropshire.

I am particularly pleased of how, despite the current climate, our business model is robust and we remain competitive whilst still maintaining high levels of quality and service.

Being a regional operation means we are in tune and work closely with our local suppliers and subcontractors, it has taken us many years to earn the respect from these and we are proud to continue to provide work for them in turbulent times.
